selection
Hi Guys Working on chapter 9 - glass refraction. The glass bowl is selected, but now I need to select only the bowl and exclude the stem. The Book says use apple-alt with the ellipitcal marquee, but all this does is create a copy. Any ideas? Chris |

Re: selection
Oops! Looks like you've spotted a typing error there, Chris. Should have said shift-alt or shift-opt instead of apple. Sorry! |

Re: selection
That's more like it! (still can't master elliptical selections, however!) |

Re: selection
Elliptical selections are tricky. Remember, if you hold the space bar down, you can move them around while you're drawing them - makes it a lot easier. If you're really having trouble, then just make a large circular selection, and switch to QuickMask: then you can use the Free Transform controls to make it fit any shape you like. |
