Colouring in
Hello boys and girls.

I did a doodle and I am going to colour it in in ps.
I did it on lined paper and I am getting rid of the paper so I am left with the lines of the pen and a transparent background.

What is an easier option of deleting the lined paper instead of using the wand tool?

Also any one got any colouring in techniques?

Re: Colouring in
Getting rid of the lined paper could be easy, could be tricky - it all depends on how faint the lines are. Your first action should be to try Brightness & Contrast: if the lines are faint, increasing the contrast and the brightness should get rid of them.

For colouring in, I'd recommend painting on a new layer (or several new layers, to preserve editing capability). If you move the drawing layer to the top , set its mode to Multiply and then lock it, you'll be able to see it as you paint beneath it - without damaging the layer itself.
