Perspective Crop
Hi,

I was working with the Perspective Chapter and came across an exercise called Boxing Clever. It's where you are shown how to create stacking boxes. My problem was with the lid and the hot tip which discussed how you could "square up" the lid in Perspective Crop. I tried and tried and just couldn't figure that thing out. Can someone explain what PS is, how it works, and how it works with that stupid lid that I can't shear correctly.

Thanks.
LL

Re: Perspective Crop
To use Perspective Crop, do the following:

1. Open the image you want to crop (duh!) and switch to the Crop tool.

2. Drag a rectangle with the Crop tool anywhere in the image.

3. The tool's Options bar will now change, and you'll see the word Perspective with a check box. Check the box!

4. Now, you can drag each corner independently. Drag one to each corner of the box lid, or whatever shape you're working with.

5. Finally, you need to place the midpoint marker. It's the tiny marker that was in the centre of the original crop box, but now won't be. Move it to the optical centre of the crop.

6. Hit Enter - and you're done.

Hope this helps!

Re: Perspective Crop
Mr. Caplin,

Ahhhhh, I have to move that little center mark? I wasn't doing that (PS Help section didn't mention that little tidbit of information). Thanks for the help. I will give it a try.

Thanks again.
