sending HCP web page as email
Just posted a query about painting a wall and forgot to tick the subscribe to topic box. Is there any way of sending the very helpful from Gordon as an emaiil to myself?

This may not be perfect but it doesn’t look too bad.

I didn’t have an image of a dry stone wall but perhaps this flint wall will do instead.

Open the file and select the wall to be whitewashed. Cmd/Ctrl-J to put it on a new layer. Desaturate this new layer. You may need to adjust the curves to get a medium grey depending on how dark the original stone was.
On a new layer fill with white then add lots of Gaussian Noise. Then add a little Gaussian blur so that the noise texture is still discernable
Clip this layer to the desaturated layer and change its mode to overlay.
Add a levels adjustment layer and pull in the sliders to the dark and light points of the histogram then move the grey slider to the left until you get something that looks right.

Chris,
In your browser go to File>Send page and hopefully, you will get a dialogue box so that you can e mail yourself.
