Photoshop CS2 niggle
I like to press F to work in full screen mode, but I hate the way you loose the filename from the top of the screen,

I am currently working on 2700 images and I need to know the filename of each image so I know what size fo make it.

It is a pain to keep coming out of full screen mode just to see the file name.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to keep the name on screen while in fullscreen mode? I still keep the menus and toolbars, I am not working on 100% full screen.

It might seem petty but when you have so many images to work through it all adds up

Re: Photoshop CS2 niggle
As far as I'm aware, that's the trade-off for having full screen mode.

This might be a workaround, of sorts. Right-click here, save the linked file (AddFileName.js) and place it in Presets > Scripts > Event Scripts Only (or the PC equivalent). Go to File > Scripts > Script Event Manager. Check the Enable events to run scripts/actions box. Select Open Document as the Photoshop Event. Select the AddFileName script and click Add. Click OK to set the changes.

Now, whenever you open a document, it will automatically create a new layer with the filename as the label. As it's transparent, it won't affect printing, etc. You can discard it afterwards. Remember to turn the event off when you've done the job!

Thank you very much David. It's great.

I didn't even know you could use javascript in photoshop. This might open up a whole new world to me.

Yup. It'll happily use Java, Applescript and VB
