Colour change
Hello all, after the discussion a couple of weeks ago about saving FC for the site, I changed the way I saved it (normally I just do Save for Web) and it is ok. However this time I tried saving it as a low quality JPEG and it wasn't until I posted it that I realised I had lost the strong red (amongst the most obvious) things. Is there something else I should have done?

Re: Colour change
That will most likely be the transition from your own colour profile to sRGB which most browsers render images under.

Re: Colour change
I think just saving as a low image lost the colour, as I have redone it and posted again and now the colour of the eyes are right. Think my computer is sRGB anyway as never really know what to change it to! Would be grateful for your advice on this.

Re: Colour change
sRGB is a colour space that came about in a partnership between Hewlett Packard and Microsoft, and it's designed to make business graphics look better. It's a very restrictive colour space - a far smaller gamut than RGB - and it's definitely not recommended for working in Photoshop (even though it's the default colour space).

Adobe RGB is much better!

Re: Colour change
Yup. I have my camera set to Adobe RGB and my colourspace. Strangely, my photos are still rubbish.

Re: Colour change
Thank you for that, computer is now AdobeRGB, will see if my camera can change its set-up. Am just waiting for the day when a digital SLR camera comes out that I can use my old lenses on - and when I've got the money to spend on it! Most of my photos are rubbish but at least I now know how to alter them(ish).
