cs camera raw support for canon eos350d ?
is it me or is it true that photoshop cs doesn't support canon eos 350d raw files. i can't get cs to see my raw files so at the moment i convert them to a tif with the canon software and then import them into fs. |

Must be you, use Bridge, right click and choose "open in Camera Raw" Or even better convert them first to DNG (digita negative) which is recognised by all systems. You can find the program here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3355 I tend to do it directly from the card, using a card reader. |

it does, but you may have to install it seperately. A friend of mine had promblems, and could not load Bridge from Photoshop, so she has to do it as a stand alone. Do try to find it as it has a lot of good going for it, not least it's batch renaming. |

I don't know why you can' open your RAW or DNG direct from Photoshop, If I use Files - Open - and click on a RAW or DNG I can see the files and they open in 'Camera Raw', perhaps you are missing the plugin? Should be able to get that from ABODE |

Adobe Bridge is new to CS2. CS has an earlier version of Bridge called the File Browser, which does a similar job, but with fewer features. CS can open Camera Raw files, I know it supports some Canon Raw files, but don't know if it supports the specific camera you have. You should be able to get that information from the Adobe web-site. The file has to have been saved in Raw format, and opens in its own Camera Raw dialog. If you do manage to open a file and adjust it, you cannot save it back to Raw format, you'll probably want to save it as a Tiff. |

The Canon eos350d raw support was introduced in Adobe Camera Raw version 3.5. The 3.x plugins will not work in CS. However, you can download the current DNG converter (which is 3.6 at this time) and convert the Canon Raw file to a DNG raw file which can be read by the CS Camera Raw 2.4 plugin. You can get the free DNG converter at http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/ Look for the download link for the OS you have in the upper right corner of the web page. Photoshop CS ships with Camera Raw 2.0 but you will need Camera Raw 2.4 to read the DNG file.
