Photoshop's Quit on Me!
Hello all!

A great way to kick-start the workweek! Photoshop Opens properly, but refuses to open ANY file at all! When I go to File>Open, I select the file in the browser and can see the preview properly...but as soon as I double click on the file, Photoshop freezes. I'm at the Newspaper's computer. It's a Power PC G5 running Mac OSX. Adobe technical support in US doesn't open for another 6 or so hours...does anyone have possible solutions to help me?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Re: Photoshop's Quit on Me!
Oh, the only thing I changed on the computer as far as software goes is that I got a popup when I opened Photoshop that it needed to update some components. (it was the Camera Raw driver) Maybe that's the culprit? If so, how do I go about uninstalling it?

Better yet, my Window's based PC at home has a neat recovery feature to roll your computer back to a previous date...Does Mac have a similar feature? This would be the easiest solution?

Thanks

Re: Photoshop's Quit on Me!
Go into the plug-ins folder and add a ~ to the beginning of the filename. This tells PS to ignore it. A good way of testing without deleting the file.

As far as roll-backs go, there isn't really a roll-back feature that compares to Windows' restore points. OS X doesn't work in quite the same way.

I don't think this is a Mac-only thing. I believe it works with Photoshop on those beige boxes, too.
