Competition Open to All Members: Design of Ipod Covers. $60 or £40 per design used

We are a small photo gifts company who are developing the decoration of hard case 1st Generation Ipod Nano Covers.

We would love to see designs from interested Forum members. The covers can be personalised with a photograph and with a message. So any exciting text and interesting photo frame ideas could be incorporated into your design. For example a heart shaped photo frame with text above.

Alternatively, your design could mimic an object such as a chocolate bar or a piano key board or it might feature a
textured effect such as zebra or leopard skin. Whatever you like, but please note the restrictions we have on decorating the nano cover in the guidelines below.

All files need to be rendered as Photoshop as PSD files at 300dpi. The same fee is paid for a rendering of one of our sketches or your original idea.

GUIDELINES.

We can decorate both sides of the cover and its edges - making it truly 3D. Please see template of cover.

The covers can also be personalised with a few words of text which we feel would be best on the front cover.

The front, back and sides of the cover need to be treated differently.

Back Cover - the back cover is the main area for design. Please do not design the back cover right up to its edges ( 45mm* 95mm). We do need a small plain border which "bleeds" over the edges of the back cover on to the sides.

Front Cover and Sides - the design of the front and sides needs to be limited to a simple texture or pattern because we don't want the design to distract from the controls of the ipod - the wheel and its display.

Front Cover - The text or personal message area should be in the style of the design and can be located above and below the wheel. Text should be editable.

The Design Sketches - The sketches show the back covers only.

NOTES ON OUR SPECIFIC DESIGNS

Burberry ipod - A "Burberry" pattern is available. Gold writing to be editable. Other features - diamond writing gold chain and sovereign. A Burberry pattern is available for download.

Makeup case with mirror - make it girlie. Lipstick style text ?

Chocolate Bar - text could be on both sides and personal. For example "Josh Sweet and Nutty" Not necessary to use purple for the the wrapper. Chocolate and foil available to download.

Sardine Tin - text could be on both sides. Detail on the front and sides to be kept plain. Please leave a good border around the design.

Pinstripe - Text could have a stitched effect.

$60 OR £40 will be paid for each winning design.

Payment by PAYPAL, BACs, PAYPAL or cheque on receipt of the PSD file on cd or email.
