missing icon on layers pallet
I seem to be missing the brush icon that changes if your have a mask seleted in the layers pallet I have added a pick to show what I mean can anyone tell how to get it back I am using CS2  |

You don't seem to have a layer mask there, Steve! Bear in mind that you can't, of course, add a layer mask to a background layer (although you can to the copy). |

steve, I don't think that the brush icon is a feature in CS2, the active layer is shown by the highllight. rufus |

this picture is a correct layer pallet on a friends computer mine only has the visability box there is no box to show the paint brush or mask icon in may be I should have said the box that dispays them is missing |

just rang him to check he is on CS so it looks like that is the answer, I upgrades a couple of weeks ago and only noticed last night when a tutorial told me to check the icon to make sure I had the mask selected thanks all |

I've got CS at work, and the paintbrush icon is there. It's a mac though. |
