Missing quicktime file?
Can anyone help?
Attempting to play the QT movie 3D layers generates the message

"The movie file 3DLayersbit3.mov file cannot be found. Without this file themovie cannot play properly".

Should the missing file be (part of) the movie?

Can I download it from another site?

Has anyone else encountered this same problem?
How did you get round it?

By the way I found that to play the QT movies on my PC I had to remove the latest version of quicktime and reinstall version 6.5.2.
Could this be part of the problem?

All help and advice will be gratefully received & appreciated.

Damn! That one must have slipped through the net!

Rather than re-encoding the entire movie, here's the missing piece:

Movie

Download it and place it in the same folder as the original movie (which will entail copying it across to your hard disk) and it should work OK.

Really sorry about this. Hope you enjoy the rest of the book.

Steve,

There are a few more QT movies that have missing pieces:

Making it rain.mov
"making it rain bit.mov"

Turning_heads.mov
"Turning heads 3 bit.mov"

Window light.mov
"Window light bit.mov"

Oh, hell. I'm going to have to get this sorted out before the book's reprinted! Thanks for letting me know...

Re: Missing quicktime file?
Just to let you know - the missing chunks are now available for download from the How to Cheat in Photoshop website.

Click here to download a zip file containing the missing pieces.

Sorry about this, folks.
