pdf file
hi i need to work with a PDF , but this file wonŽt open because i donŽt have the password and the person who sent it doesnŽt either...is there a way to cheat here?

The only cheat available is to screen capture the open file - but if it won't even open to be read then there is no workaround. |

thanks Maiden, i was afraid that was the only possibility i can open the PDF but not in Photoshop, i guees iŽll just copy and paste XD |

if you go to http://www.zamzar.com/ you can convert thr pdf to an image format and open in photoshop. you can then convert it back to PDF with one of mant PDF printing programs hope this helps |

pdf files aren't all that secure. There are several 3rd party utilities that can get around the password. google for pdf password and you will find a bunch of stuff. |

thanks Steve and Dave, i will certainly try those suggestions..as for the project i needed i ended up using screen capture and pasting into PS then adjusting the colors! |

As a training designer, I often have to use screen captures. Often, they are as good as what you would get even if you had the pdf password. There are many methods for grabbing screen captures, and I thinks one of the best is a program called SnagIt by Techsmith. Just be careful that you aren't using someone's copyrighted images. Dave. |

I use screen captures for in house traing and instruction sheets. I use mwsnap which has the advantage of being freeware. it is also great for capturing error messages |
