Art and Design in... . Chap 03.04. Line Art: Crosshatching.
Can someone help me with this problem please? Working with the start image provided I can get to step 5 without problems, but I come unstuck on step 6. When I select Multiply the instructions say 'We can see through this layer... . We can't!. I think I have tried everything (obviously not!) and can't get anywhere (Including reducing the opacity). Also anticipating the next problem, how do I register the two images? (something to do with the shift key?). Your help would be very much appreciated. Note to Steve. Great book. Also love the observations on the web site, especially 'Perfect confidence...' . John Seaman. |

John, Changing the layer mode to Multiply will always show the layers beneath. Are you sure you've changed the mode of the right layer? If you can post a screen shot of your Layers panel, that would help a lot! As to registering the two images - because you're duplicating layers within the same file, they'll automatically be aligned. Or am I misunderstanding what you want here? Glad you're enjoying the book! Steve |
