CS3 on Windows 7, Vanishing Point - Crash
I've been absent from the Friday Challenge recently because I got a new laptop and have been busy setting it up and getting used to Windows 7. I have a problem with Photoshop CS3.

When using the vanishing point filter and paste into and attempt to transform, Photoshop crashes and quits. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Hi Lonnie

I had the same issue where the screen went white and CS3 crashed. Google came to the rescue and I found a forum where someone explained that the Aero theme in W7 is to blame. I set up a non Aero theme background and reopened vanishing point filter and it worked without any issues. There must be a conflict of code somewhere. I hope this works for you.

Thanks, Nick. I too learned that Aero was the culprit. Changing to a Windows Basic theme solved the problem. Since Aero is only eye candy, it's no big loss IMHO.

Agree and if you save an Aero and non Aero theme, you can always switch from one to another easily, as and when you're using PS.
