Explanation Text disappears or goes weird - CS5 - XP
Not sure anyone else has this problem.... You know if you hover over a tool button etc you get and explanation text. Ok I know most of them, but for new ones and old ones I don't use often it helps me. So I need it. So the problem: seems to stop working on some of them now, get blank window or nothing, even more weird the text was going at 45 degrees. Still works on some of them outside the big window. I upgraded to PS 12.0.3 and it got better, but still have to restart PS to get it back again. Works fine with CS2. I searched of course, but I see no related problem. My laptop and desktop seem to have "the same idea". |

Bizarre. Never seen anything like that. Both on the laptop and the desktop, though, that seems strange. Haven't been at the absinthe again, have you? |

Really bizarre Steve. I do not think it is the driver this time Sutex. Thanks. All the other windows in XP work fine when it happens, even inside PS for some parts as well. Its working fine at the moment, so cannot send screen shot. The most weird one was when the text went at 45degrees in the box. Maybe I should try the absinthe  and I might not notice then.... |

First off, I apologize for the ancient reply to Jota 120's problem with the small info dialog boxes. It's been some time since I checked in to the forum. Anyway, for the record; I experienced the same identical problem suddenly about two months ago - and it was strange, indeed. No way to fiddle 'n fix this issue. Pure and simple. The only way I successfully resolved this issue was to un-install and re-install PS5. This worked and completely resolved the issue. It hasn't occurred again. I am simply posting this as an F.Y.I. in the event anyone else encounters this glitch - 'cause that's what it really is. |
