Tech Question.
Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I accidentally closed the box containing my layers, paths and chanels tabs. Now I can't find them anywhere. Any ideas on how I might get them back? Thanks in advance. |

Window menu - you'll see them all listed independently there. Choosing any one will bring up the palette holding all three. Incidentally, I find it very useful to be able to bring the Layers palette up with a keystroke. Have you thought of assigning an Action to this? I use F8, and also have one of the switches on my Wacom pen set to do the same thing. |

Actually Now that I think about it I have one more quick question. How might I expand my palette well? It is really short and I noticed in the book at one point the well is really long. BTY I'm using PS7 on a windows machine. |

Re: Tech Question.
The palette well is as wide as it can be on the monitor you're using. I'm working with a 20 inch widescreen display, and my palette well is about 8 inches wide. However, when I do presentations at 1024x768 on my laptop, it's only about 2 inches wide. All depends on the monitor. You can, however, fit more things than you'd expect in there - the tabs just overlap each other to make space. I'd recommend keeping the Layers palette separate, though. |
