Got a new PC, and can't transfer files...
My computer crashed into oblivion last weekend, forcing me to purchase another... . It is a HP Media Center m7360n, the new one. And a Dell Dimension 4400. I have installed most of my programs onto the new PC, but there are a couple smaller ones that I no longer have the installation disk. Both computers have a wireless network connection as well as a high speed modem. I have been able to recover most of my files from the busted PC (by burning onto a DVD), and need to know if there is a way to transfer and install the remaining needed programs. I've tried both setting up a private wireless network and a direct connection from modem to modem, but lack the networking experience to correctly configure the two for direct transfer.

Can I transfer programs from one to another. The program is for the company's digital camera, and their warranty is expired. The program is unavailable at the manufacturers website. They only have the basic drivers, which I have been able to download.

It's generally not possible to transfer programs on the Windows platform as they spread their files across the system. Program Files, System32, Application Data, etc. Unless you know which files were installed at the time, it'll be practically impossible to migrate them.
