Wireframe Models
Hello everybody. I got a question for ya. On page 317 in Steve’s phenomenal third edition, there is this supercool Poser/Photoshop montage. ![]() I was just wondering.. how exactly does one get that Wireframe Model? ![]() I sure know how to switch to wireframe view in Poser, but rendering the image will get me only the usual image of “Poser-like” model and not the hi-res Wireframe image I would like to get. And my second question would be: How does one generate crowds in Poser? ![]() Any help would be greatly appreciated! ![]() |

Mmmmh...Sorry to say that there is not many people that know Poser in this forum. Maybe you can find another forum directly related to Poser? But you probably did that already.... ![]() _________________ |

Re: Wireframe Models
Hi Marv, Unfortunately, I don't have the answer you're looking for...but I may have an alternative. From time to time, I need to print out wireframes created in Illustrator. In order for me to do that, well to my knowledge, I use the "Print Screen" button on my keyboard. I then open up Photoshop, New Document, and Paste the clip to the workspace. From there, I can size the wireframe to scale and print. Maybe this could be a temporary fix for you in order to continue your artwork in Photoshop from Poser until a better solution is revealed. --Chris |

Re: Wireframe Models
It's a tricky one, Marv. As you say, Poser doesn't normally allow you to export the wireframe models. My solution is to zoom in until the whole model just fits within the screen, and then do a screen grab. For the model in the book, I did a separate screen grab of the head and montaged that on top. You are limited for resolution this way, but wireframes can be blown up without significant loss of quality! As for generating crowds - you can place multiple people, but it slows Poser down to a crawl. Best solution is to generate them one at a time, and put them all together in Photoshop. |

Re: Wireframe Models
So, the screen captures are indeed the answer. I actually arrived to the same solution by trial&error, hoping there might be more elegant solution. Hehe.. it’s kind of comforting to know, that even award winning montages can be accomplished with screen-grab elements. ![]() Well thank you fellows, and thank you Steve. It was well worth visiting this forum again.. ![]() |
