Batch conversion for Web
I have some images of a house warming party in France and I would like to send them to Nicole's friend over the web. Can I say to my PS7 here is a file of pictures and I want them all 800x600 at JPEG level 4?

(OK I could say it to PS7 but can it do it?)

It would save a whole lot of work!

Re: Batch conversion for Web
Hi Ted,

You may want to try it this way:

Open an image, the first of your batch or something completely different.

1. Start recording a new action. Call it Web Resize or something.

2. Go to File > Automate > Fit Image. Set the Width and Height to 800. That will be the maximum size on the longest edge, the short edge will be resized in proportion.

2. Go to Save for Web. Set the quality to something reasonable. Save the image to your desired output folder.

3. Close the image (without saving).

4. Stop recording the action.

5. Go to File > Automate > Batch. Choose the folder with the source images. Select the action you just created. Hit OK and sit back!

Re: Batch conversion for Web
Hi David,

Thank you for your timely solution. Why I didn't think of creating an action I don't know.

All done and it worked perfectly.

Thanks

Ted
