loading up pixels
I'm struggling on one of the early chapters in the book (Layer masks 3: soft edges). Having made a layer mask for the layer with the couple on it, when I ctrl+click on the layer name nothing happens. The most likely thing is that I've misunderstood somehow, but is it possible the commands have changed? Is there a way of doing this from a menu instead of the keyboard shortcut, just so I can be sure I'm doing the right thing? Any advice gratefully received. |

You need to ctrl-click on the thumbnail, not the name. Sorry - this was changed in CS2, I must have forgotten to update the text! |
