Placing guides with an action.
Hi. I need to place 4 guidelines on images to help me crop them ready for printing. They need to be a fixed distance, 3.75cm, from each edge regardless of the image size. Top and left are no problem but how can I get the bottom and right ones in the correct position. When I recorded the action, after positioning the top and left guides I moved the ruler origin to the bottom right of the image and then added the right and bottom guides. Looking at the recorded action I could see it placed the right and bottom guides with a negative distance. Great I thought. This should work. Not so great. It didn't record the fact I moved the origin, so when I play the action on a new file, half of my guides are outside of the image area as the negative values for positioning them are based on 0,0 being top left ![]() Is there a way round this? |

Well I have found one way around it. Do the top and left guides then rotate the image 180 degrees and do top and left again ![]() |
