Cutting the hair...
Or, how to cut the hair in a way that makes it look good? When I've taken pictures of people, and want to cut them and paste them onto something else, I've got huge problems with their hair, female hair is worst! Take a look at this - it's hair, with purple. How can I make this "just" hair? Any tips, tricks and suggestions are welcome! http://www.kittelsaa.com/pictures/hair_sample.jpg _________________ http://funkyjalla.deviantart.com <-- check out some of my work |

Re: Cutting the hair...
Although this hair looks complex, the fact that the background is of such a uniform colour actually makes it a simple task for the Background Eraser. Here, I've set the tool to Sample Once, with a very low tolerance - just 20, in this case. Hold option/alt and click on the hair itself to sample that as the foreground colour, then click and hold on the background and paint it all out. Simple! ![]() |
