Rounded corners
This must be a straightforward thing to achieve, but it has got me stumped. I want to "round off" the corners of photographs for use on webpages, like this: http://www.scubatravel.nl/ I guess I will need a coloured background layer, white in the above case and the photo would be a layer above this. Also, I assume I would use the rounded rectangle tool to shape the photo layer. But how do I do that? Sorry if this sounds simplistic but I cannot sus it out. Thanks, Steve ![]() |

Re: Rounded corners
Hi Steve Before you draw the rounded rectangle, make sure you set it to 'paths' in the tool options bar (click on the small icon that looks like a pen-nib surrounded by a square) Draw the rectangle on the photo layer (you can change the round-ness of the corners by adjusting the radius field in the tool options bar) Hold down CTRL and hit Enter to turn the path into a selection Inverse the selection and hit Delete to remove the background Hope this helps Wayne |
