Need help with slice tool in Photoshop
Hi I hope someone would share their knowledge and help me with my photoshop problem , I want to create some digital artwork onto seperate clip frames to piece together to make a bigger artwork and hang it I want to from a canvas size of 59.4cm by 63cm split up into sections using slice tool fixed setting of 29.7cm by 21cm and have 6 equal segments. I then want to have each segment copied over to another canvas and have appear like seperate and have an effect to appear stuck on a wall in a A4 perspex clip frame I have done this before using slice tool and getting them in bit and then using layer styles drop shadows and something else to create a on a wall 3d look. anyone have any ideas how to do it. Thanks Phil |

Re: Need help with slice tool in Photoshop
Hi junipaire, This is quite easy to do by using guides and the 'Rectangular Marquee Tool'. Set a vertical guide at 29.7cm using 'View/New Guide'. Set horizontal guides at 21cm and 42cm. Make sure that 'View/Snap To/Guides' and 'View/Snap' are ticked. Select each segment in turn with the 'Rectangular Marquee Tool' and copy this to a new layer (Ctrl-J) Apply your layer styles as required. rufus |

Cheers for that rufus, much appreciated. What setting would you suggest for the layer styles I never know what work best with all the setting to give them all a on a wall look with shadows and 3d look. regards Phil |
