Grey Scale Curves Dialogue Reversed
This is such a basic question I am almost ashamed to ask it.

Why is the curves dialogue inverted for Greyscale images? That is to say the shadow end of the curve is top right and the highlights bottom left so that moving the curve upwards darkens and downwards brightens. Is there a reason for this?

Re: Grey Scale Curves Dialogue Reversed
In the top right corner of the Curves dialog you can choose to show the amount of Light or Pigment. I suspect you have it set to Pigment.
