Shadows
I usually cheat a shadow into an image by selecting the out line of the object that I am creating the shadow for, filing it with black and putting it on an under lying layer. I then manipulate it until I am happy. Tone, blur, graduation etc. Steve has a 2 minute video demonstrating this...and more. To confidently place shadows, one has to understand them. The following extract from The Advanced Airbrush book benifitted me still to this day. The book contains great advice for artist, that I have benefitted from over the years. An impressive, well explained book Steve. One that may not have helped me with your photo this week. The left side is alright but the right side starts going back into negative perspective. _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |
