Light and shadow from multiple sources
Hey all, just sent off an entry for one of Photoshop Creative's challenges and have some regrets having done so (shouldn't have been so impatient). Dream Vacation just in case... been adding to the blog/site... The biggest problem I faced with this is all the light sources and shadows having to interact with each other. (The dream transition is something I'm not happy with and will have to go back a re-work, but for now I'm focusing on the shadow issues). I bought an issue of Advanced Photoshop because of a shadow tutorial that was in the back, but it proved disappointing... Anyway, would appreciate you taking a look and sharing your thoughts. LINK<-- click EDIT: Well... never mind! Came across a tutorial yesterday that really looks at lighting, followed it back to it's website where I discovered some more tutorials on radiosity (physics of bouncing light)... long story not so long... decided what I need to do with the montage is take everything out of the 'room' and build it back one element at a time. And hopefully in the process figure out a better way to do the cloudy... lighty... dreamy thing. Hopefully, this way, I'll be able to get some good color depth and more realistic lighting and shadow cast.
