Hey I'm redoing this picture for my friend, I am having a hard time with it somthing is just not looking right with it, anyone know how I can get this to look right? This is what I've done heres the original: |

John, The main problem is the new floor, it does not look right mainly because the colour is too bright and the perspective is out. The original floor is fine, leaving it alone would solve the next problem of the scene looking like a cut-out, the edges don't blend in properly. The shadows are unconvincing, they need strengthening and perhaps exagerating. Have another go and post the result. rufus |

That is what I see, the floor is out of perspective, and is very bright compared to the table and the shadows on the skin areas. Also, the shadows are going off in different directions. The chair on the right has a shadow down and to the right, while the table has a shadow up and to the left. Use the lines on the table to determine where the two hidden legs of the table are, and then you will have a reference to find the vanishing point for your perspective. Keep at it, you will get there. |
