Hello Barcyd Check out chapter 11 in Steve's book, How to Cheat in Photoshop. In particular, the articles on "Ripping and tearing," and "Waving the Flag." |

Read it but it is a little too technical for me. My photoshop skill is bordering on 3 out of a possible 10! Is there any way I could take a shortcut to achieve this effect? I recently downloaded the Old Parchment action from this site http://www.finessefx.com/downloads/actions/Old%20Parchment.zip. The effects is similar to what I want to achieve but I don't understand how the effects work so I could dissect each action and learn it for myself! Could anyone help me? |

Yes I can help. Read that chapter until you understand it. My photoshop skill I think was around 3 out of 10 too. It was Steve's book that made me learn and understand so much more and also made me want to learn more. There is no shortcut, apart from getting other people to do the work for you but where is the fun in that. |
