Creating Ice
Hi Guys, im new to this forum, so forgive me if im not in the right section.

Im trying to create a 3D rectangle, which looks like a block of ice, and to have some text which looks as though it is in side the ice.

Has anyone got any ideas on where to start with this?

Many Thanks

Re: Creating Ice
Hi and welcome.

Page 244 of the CS4 book explains how to make ice cubes.

Then create some text using mid grey lettering and use the same technique. You could also try 'stroking' the letters to add definition. Adjust the opacity of the letters to suit. Copy the original ice cube and bring to the top of the stack. Experiment with blend modes and the 'blend if' sliders set yo grey, or use a mask to reveal / hide sections.
