Getting "Shut-eye"
This is my first attempt at morphing to sleep.

I started off following the tutorial in the book but dogs eyelids aren't as pronounced as humans so the Liquify filter seemed to work better in this case.

First I deleted the eyeball portion then took turns freezing the upper and lower lids while pushing on the upper or lower in Liquify mode.

I am having a bit of trouble with the result as it sort of looks like she's squinting a bit. Does it look that way to you?

Would love suggestions for refining....

Thanks much,
Karen

Hi Karen and welcome to the forum. I can't see a problem with the final image, it looks great.

Re: Getting "Shut-eye"
Hi Karen

I think I can see what you mean... her left eye (our right) looks great, nice and relaxed. Her right eye (our left) looks a little like she is faking sleep though, like a child on Christmas eve that wants to see santa? I think it may be caused by the two parallel lines just above it, giving the impression of a wrinkle or squint?

I could very well be wrong and bow to the greater knowledge of Steve and David

Re: Getting "Shut-eye"
Thanks Steve, David and Tabitha. Tabitha, I think you pinpointed the problem, thanks! I was looking at it too long and couldn't tell what was what.

I'll go back in and smooth out those lines and I think that will do the trick.

Thanks again!
Karen
