Incorporating New with Old
Ive been trying to incorporate the image of my niece in this image with my brother (her dad - taken 30years ago).

I dont know how to age her photo so she looks like she belongs in the old photo.

Does anyone have any clues or tips on what I can do?

Thank You
Anna

Here's my attempt:

First, I positioned Chloe further down from what you did. She is younger than your brother was when the picture was taken, so she needs to look smaller. And you can also tell that the picture of her was taken slightly from above.
Second, I added a shadow since the flash in the original picture adds strong shadows. The shadow don't have to be accurate, it just needs to look right, but for a starting point I used a layer copy of Chloe, filled that with black and moved it down and left. I blurred the shadow layer very slightly, played around a little bit with the opacity and added a layer mask.

Anna, you have got the ageing pretty much spot on, the colours and grain match really well. Whaler has the positioning and shadows so it's just a case of putting the two together.

What a super idea and image. I love it that Photoshop allows you to do things like this.

Hi Anna,
I have only just seen this, I would have but her a little behind, something like this. I know there is more space on the right, but ..

You know Vibeke, that looks much better the way you have done this. Never thought of that. By doing it your way gives me enough room now to add my nephew Thank you
