whiten fillings
I really need some help. I have been desperately trying to whiten the fillings in this image with little success. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: whiten fillings
Hi
I selected the fillings, copied to a new layer.
Selected the fillings and then with the clone tool set to about 50% filled them in. Going over the area a couple of times in some areas.

I guess this is as good a place to make my first post to the forum as any. I can also see this thread has been around for a while, but you never know...

As always, blend modes are your friend, so copy the layer and set the new layer mode to Soft light. Reduce opacity to suit. This works pretty well with eyes btw.

I'm new to the site, so will be repeating what's been said before, but if you are working with large pixel files, then make a rough selection of the area you want to adjust before hitting Ctrl j (to copy the layer) You save a bit of file size that way.

Obviously use an image mask to control where things happen.
