Any advice on getting this picture in presentable format?
Feel free to take a crack at it. I have played around with the curves but there is a lot of noise in the face and color shift.

Thanks!

See what you think. The image is very low res though, so some of the artifacts will be down to that. In fact the wall and curtains look completely smooth in PS, but not when reposting.

Excellent job Nick! IMHO, especially given you had limited image input .....

PS ... glad you moved away from those hairy legs etc, I was getting a bit worried ....

Nick,

That looks very nice.

Can you give me an idea of what your steps were to get to the image you posted?

If you want the raw image (a good bit bigger at 705k), e-mail me at lspalmer54@yahoo.com

I'd hate to have her podiatrist bills.

Very simple really, I use a plug in called Neat Image for the noise reduction. For the colour, I lowered the saturation of the reds and yellow slightly using a H&S adj layer and painted into a black mask with white to apply the change to the face and hair. Then I merged all the layers, duplicated that and applied some gaussian blur. Double click on the blurred layer to open the blending options dialogue and change the mode to Screen. Use the blend if sliders to punch a hole in the shadow areas (top left slider) and then change the layer opacity to your liking.
