How to Replace the Shadow?
I want to isolate the invitation and put it into another background scene, but I can't figure out how to replace the shadow! Since it's slightly folded, the shadow cast by the top part slants away from isolated image, as you can see in this original image, but I don't know how to make a new shadow like that. Obviously the regular Drop Shadow thing doesn't work. Thanks in advance!

Re: How to Replace the Shadow?
I also would like to be able to change the angle of the shadow to correspond with props in whatever backgrounds I choose. I have about 30 different invitations to do.

Re: How to Replace the Shadow?
You need to do this manually.

Load up the layer as a selection by Command/Ctrl clicking on its thumbnail in the Layers panel. Make a new layer, and fill the selection with black.

Select the bottom section and use Free Transform to shear it horizontally, then repeat with the top section.

Change the opacity of the layer to about 20%, move the whole layer to the right, then use Gaussian Blur to soften it.

Let us know if this works for you!

Thank you very much for your fast reply. I'm sorry to be so stupid, but could you upload a picture to show me how to Free Transform the black layer please? I'm not getting the angle right or something.

Re: How to Replace the Shadow?
I don’t have time to do that, but I can explain. Select the bottom section of the black layer with the Marquee tool. Use Free Transform and grab the bottom centre handle.

Then hold Command (Mac)/Ctrl(PC) and drag the handle sideways. If you hold Shift as well it will shear it only horizontally.

Re: How to Replace the Shadow?
Ah, OK. I got it now! Thank you very much! I was grabbing the corner handle! And not using Ctrl/ Shift.
