Excellent! Great reflections, great shading, and I rally like the bevelled edge on your chopping board. The sliced pip on the board is a great touch (and you know how I love details). Hell, you've even got the grain to follow over the edge of the board - that must have been tricky. |

It was indeed a tricky image, the majority of which was done in Elements. I finally gave up when it came to create the mulch on the blade, which worked best with lighting effects and an alpha channel. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

It's a big file because it started out as a project for print, the full size image is around 4000x3500 pixels and has around 15-20 layers. You can imagine how big Steve's images end up to be! _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

Largest image (in terms of file size) I ever did was a double-page spread for the Sunday Times Magazine, weighed in at over 500Mb. But files of 100 to 200Mb are pretty routine, these days... you just need a fast computer and as much RAM as you can cram inside it. |

Since the upgrade, PS is a lot smoother, although on this image, I still got a bit of brush lag but it was tolerable. I'll upgrade to 1gb RAM as soon as I can afford it. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

Did you see that the newest boards support up to 4gb RAM? Think that's overkill? I'd like to see... _________________ Sometimes you have to stand in your neighbor's backyard to get a good view of your own. raymardo |

He's not using 3.1, hes using XP pro, it was a £3000 super computer, and as it turns out.... its not so super....  |

He's quite well off shall we say And its for audio work (recording studio) so needs quiet fans, and its the very latest of everything, so hence the price tag. |
