Lest we forget
OK I know this isn't a montage.

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day.

I visited Auschwitz last year to see for myself where this atrocity from history happened and thought I'd share this image with you.

We must never ever forget...

Re: Lest we forget
I have to say that your image has made a tear come to my eye Glen. At school I had the most amazing history teacher who used to bring the subject alive. During his lessons on the Nazi Death Camps, there was not a dry eye in the classroom, never before or since have I ever experienced 15 yr olds in total silence for over an hour.
I still get very emotional when I watch any documentary on this subject as well as programmes about the trenches of WW1. It just goes to show what effect a very good teacher has on their students, and I truly hope that future generations can ensure that this kind of atrocity could never happen again.

Thanks for the reminder Glen. Saddly there are people in this world that do not belive it happened.

Those people are just appologist for the Nazis because it's what they would like to do to jewish people. This isn't something any government or any religion could make up nor is it something that should ever be covered-up. People who say it never happened should be taken on a tour of Auschwitz and meet the survivors.

I'm very glad that you all feel this way, I'm Jewish. I know a few survivors myself, too.
