child engineer
The train is about 3 inches high photographed on a family room floor. The child is 1 1/2 years old photographed on the other side of the room. The arm and hand is from a third picture (of the child). Comments and suggestions please.

Excellent job Mguyer..... looks real to me and a very cleverly thought out process for doing it too.... couldn't tell the kid wasn't on the train for real ...well done!

Re: child engineer
That's fantastic, Martin - your best work here yet, I'd say. A very near perfect montage (you just need to smooth off the extreme right side of the train, where it's a little jagged).

Bringing the arm in front of the train is, of course, the key to the success of this one: it firmly puts the child inside the train, rather than being a long way behind it. I wonder, though, if the arm's a little too small for the child? That hand looks much smaller than the head, which bothers me slightly. I could be wrong, it's a long time since my children were that age!

I particularly like the choice of background: that out of focus red and blue plastic whatever in the window ties in perfectly with the style of the train, and really links the whole image together.

Is Ezra the boy's name? It might be cute to have it embossed on the side of the train, rather than painted on.

Great stuff!

Thanks for the feedback, you made my day. Besides this is more fun than dentistry. I don't understand about the jagged edge on the train since the train is part of the background image. The only thing I did was add the child and his arm. Thanks again.

Re: child engineer
Great stuff Martin ... Would never have guessed the child and the train didn't belong together in the same picture .. a very clever idea and very well executed.

Ha! Fantastic! I have to say, Marty, this is really good work from you - the best you've done here yet. And you're certainly well overdue for a title! I toyed with Novocaine Novice a while back, but your skills have exceeded that now, and Molar Mechanic seemed a little prosaic. But try as I might, I couldn't get off the dental theme – So Incisive Incisor it is. Well done!

My wife says that I am addicted. I could not leave it alone until I got the third grandchild into it. What do you think?
