After being inspired by BobbyJo's excellent flag pics... I wanted to do something with a flag too...

I've the patience of a saint.... and the mentality of a 3 year old  .... so it probably took longer than I thought ...I totally lost track of time doing it.. lol .... but was fun to do

Fantastic work Dalton, really effective. May I also suggest a couple of water droplets to really pull the 'believability' of the picture together _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |

Those last two were done really quickly... about 10mins.... didn't spend as much time on them as the first one ... was just playin about lol  so..ok.... I'll stop now lol

That's the great thing about displacement maps, though - once you've done the initial work, you can apply it to any artwork! |

Shouldn't it be BRITISH rose? The English flag is just a red cross on a white background. Lovely effect though. It looks like the rose is made from porcelain. |

It's just a name for a piece of art Paul... it's ....emmmm.... not real!  but then of course ....you could always go for.. Union Jack rose...or UK rose... or maybe even...red,white and blue rose... _________________ DaltonX |

THanks dalton! The both of them are great and the good ones! The blue one is called the "Fleur-de-lysé" and is the flag of my province and the other is the one for CAnada (actually I dont know if it has a name...). But I guess you figured that these were the good ones... _________________ |
