Staircase Mystery ?
Didn't really have time to finish my entry for last weeks Friday challenge. 
Rather than consigning it to the virtual scrap heap I thought I'd post it here .. Not quite a stairway to heaven I've called it Staircase Mystery after the Siouxsie & the Banshees song. Hope you like it.   |

a little constructive critism, i would choose one thing to be realistic and make everything else colored/penned/etc like the rest of the backdrop. there's a lot happening all at once there and i don't know who to look at, the bird or the staircase? because these are different from the background my eye naturally goes to them. trippy dude! |

Kind of reminds me of a fever induced hallucination where you're teetering between reality and the shifting world of the dream... The raven reminds me of Poe for some reason... haven't read any of his stuff for a long, long time. Anyway, all to say, like the work, the feel of the piece. _________________ Drawing attention to what otherwise might be overlooked... emphasizing things that matter. |

Thanks for your comments guys ... much appreciated ... dreamy/trippy was what I was aiming for so if you got that then I'm a happy bunny 
The original idea was to include a lone figure standing on the bridge flying a single red kite, having just that one colour standing out from the picture, alas I could not get this to work ... I really couldn't figure out where to place the figure so it didn't clash with other elements in the scene ... maybe I'll be able to come back to it when I've reached the end of Steve's book |
