Boat
Took some pics. of a model boat and put it into new background, changed the sky and then used different effects for different parts of the pic.

Re: Boat
Essentially everything is blended quite well, but a little more contrast on the boat's hull and shadow would have given it some more bite, and just a little more colour in the background would have made...oops I can hear Steve coming...

Re: Boat
Dave, like the composition and the lighting... not fond of the texture in the sky though... the tile pattern is distracting. And a minor thing... having grown up on the coast, the rocks and waves would make the ship gi-normous... huge.

Still, when I focus on the ship and take in the whole, not focusing on those other elements, really like this.... though now there's a problem with the horizon

Hi-Liter, i agree with what you say 100% , when i first did this pic. it looked ok but once faults are pointed out it really doesn't look too clever at all. Horizon and scale are a little bit trickier to master than i had bargained for. I will keep plugging away, will get there one day!

Re: Boat
Dave, don't get me wrong... it's a good composition! Just a few tweaks and you're there. I agree with you there are some elements that take time to get the hang of... and if the 'rock' on the left was cropped down just a bit, scale wouldn't be noticeable.
