Trees and desert plants of the Western USA for Train Simulator
Here are some screenshots of various trees that are used in Microsoft's Train simulator. The tree files themselves (bmp files) have had to be reduced from many megabytes to just 512 x 512 kb in order to be run in the simulator. Either Photobucket or HTCIP is restricting the picture to a very small size!?! Some of the cactus sizes may seem a bit large, but their is a choice of up six sizes for Train simulator. ![]() ![]() ' target='_blank' rel='nofollow' title='Open in new window'> ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() By Michael Sinclair |

Hi Michael Thought you would like to see this image. Where I work at Bombardier we manufacture passenger railcars for the world. This one is for New Mexico. SnowDog ![]() |

Hi SnowDog, Very nice! And look at those brand new tracks too... is it all right to show that on train-sim forums? Mike ![]() |

Hi Michael I could email you the bigger version of this photo if you want. By all means show it to whomever you want. Those tracks are not new they are the ones that they use to shuttle the cars around out back of the plant to get them ready for the mailine for shipping. This particular car is running in 13 cities around the world mostly in the US and Canada. If you want I'll dig up a poster that shows the different paint jobs of the different cities. They make model trains of some of them. I have the New Mexico one that I gave to my son. I do all the electrical / electronic testing on the cars and test drive the subway cars we make aswell. Hi Snowdog, You sound just the sort of guy that would fit in with us train-sim lot, and you would find Microsoft Train-simulator great fun. The image limit is 100k at the forums, and if there's a pic of a loco hauling those coaches all the better. Mike ![]() PS I was pulling your leg about the "new tracks". |

Sorry Michael but I spend enough time testing the trains , thats enough for me. But I will share any pix I have of the trains. I have some good pics at work and because I am on Vacation right now for 3 weeks I can't get to them until then. But here are a few more that I have on my home computer http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/6748/gows6.jpg This is the artists drawing of the New Mexico train. We only make the Coach and Cab cars at Bombardier. GM makes the Engines. http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/345/newmexicotraindt7.jpg Seattle Sounder Train http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/6867/sea2111ol6.jpg http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/9529/seaaubrnstnec8.jpg http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/3179/seatrainsethk4.jpg Enjoy and share them with your friends SnowDog |
