Experimenting with reflections of light
I was playing around today and tried my hand at doing some reflections and making an orb. It eventually worked its way into a possible business card for me...who knows?? ![]() |

Re: Experimenting with reflections of light
Hi Scott, I am offering a very tentative opinion here so take it how you will. I like your orb very much. The photo and the layout of text and image seem to balance pretty well to my not-very-trained eye. In view of the fact that the orb is 'in the air', perhaps you could try introducing a little motion blur going maybe from bottom left to top right to tie in with the position of your hand tossing a ball. You could try copying your orb several times in an arc, blurring and reducing the opacity of the layers etc. I have seen this done effectively somewhere. But there are many ways to achieve this. I am not sure the orb reflection in the dark glasses is necessarily a good idea. It looks a little as if you've got purple eyeballs that are slipping a bit ![]() As a general rule I'd say people prefer to see proper eyes in a photo (it's a trust thing ). But again, that is what I believe. Anyway, see what you think of my suggestions. I wish you well. Sophie |

Re: Experimenting with reflections of light
Thank you Sophie for you suggestions. This was my first try at it. I will try your suggestions and see what happens. I am still learning alot of the aspects of Photoshop, so I like it when you all post helpful hints about things that we do. I am training myself in Photoshop, so every little bit of help counts! |
