Re: Apple Eggs
Indeed. But wouldn't they have been more convincing if the cutout had been only on the top side, rather than on both? |

Maybe so, I'll have to edit it and we'll see. Great idea! (as usual) BTW, I love your new home page for the site. Neil _________________ "I haven't failed.... I've found 10,000 ways that don't work!" Thomas Edison |

The website looks great, have to admit I usually go straight to the forum. Great new shot of Steve too. Was that photoshop or have you really got so much younger?? |

Re: Apple Eggs
Eggs look good - but I think we need more shading inside them, to give a sense of depth. And shouldn't the Apple logos on the small eggs be distorted (a small amount of Spherize, perhaps) so they look as if they've been cut out of a curved surface? Vibeke - that's a really old photo of me! I really should update it... |

Re: Apple Eggs
Apple Eggs RE-revised, Spherize didn't work well. I don't know why. So I used the warp tool (custom). Thanks for all the help with it, Mr. Caplin.

I feel odd addressing a mentor by his first name. Just not the way I was taught. But at your request. Thanks again, Steve. Neil _________________ "I haven't failed.... I've found 10,000 ways that don't work!" Thomas Edison |

Re: Apple Eggs
Neil, After all your hard work in creating the various revisions to your image I guess I need to ask the question ... Why Apple eggs?

Re: Apple Eggs
Well, Vern, good question. It just kinda evolved. I had a picture of some eggs and I liked the background. I "cut a hole" with a section of the background and it looked interesting. I had an "apple" logo in my files so I thought it might look "cute" cut through the eggs. Thus became the "apple eggs" Then Mr. Caplin (ooops, I mean Steve) directed the rest of the evolution of the "apple eggs"
So I take it, its not "appealing" (pun intended) to you?
