Covering a motorcycle
Here's my next Photoshop-project, a BMW motorcycle (710 Mb).

Excellent! There's a job as an illustrator somewhere for you.

Re: Covering a motorcycle
Thanks a lot all you guys!
• A job as an illustrator... I whish there was, because unfortunately I haven't got any talent for drawing
• That video is just a slack extract of the many beautiful video files you linked to Steve's forum, Anna Tooquilos. And the details are just a matter of enlarging the 'template' file and some patience. I changed the colour to blue and I'm not shure at all if the way I did this can endure Steve's critical review, assumed he would have the time to inspect the whole file.
• Haha, Frank... reread Steve's books and admit this BMW is just the outcome of his instructive examples!

This is for that matter the last of this sort of 'projects' of whom I've sent a link to Steve's forum. There are more ways to use Photoshop as you know

Fantastic. This is beautifully detailed work - I especially like the way you've handled some of the trickier elements, such as the curved surface of the saddle.

The video is entertaining, but I'd really like to see more of the work in progress, such as drawn objects before you added the shading and reflections.

Amazing work, Sjef.

Re: Covering a motorcycle
Oops, I mostly edit a basic 50% gray object within feathered selections using Dodge & Burn. After that I make a texture on the same object and that's it. No Layers here. Mostly only the highlights gets there own Layers. But I'll try to show some more in a new vimeo-file (which will take some time).
Thanks a lot for judging my image, Steve!

It was rather difficult to do this in a simple way. It would be more of a tutorial, with lots more frames. Hope this is a bit better. I changed the hyperlink (see also the top-post) to: http://vimeo.com/75197673

It's a pity the original links (https) are not working. Have to change it to http. But then it works!
