3D in Blender
Not been around recently, but I have had a play with 3D in the free application Blender. I've not really used the 3D tools in CS6 as at times there is a lag which can really be a pain. Blender doesn't have the same issue, though I don't know if I can import objects from blender to photoshop.
It does have a lot of modelling tools such as sculpting for faces and has Image based lighting add ons as well. Anyway here's my attempt at a football, using an online tutorial.

That's very impressive. And yes, as long as Blender will export either DXF or OBJ files, you'll be able to import models into Photoshop.

Never seen a china football before. A bit fragile for everyday kicking about, perhaps?
