Very nicely achieved! One point: while the rays from the sun should appear in front of the saucer, the sun itself should of course be behind it.

Welcome to the forum!

Thank you, I will remember that for next time I do something similar.

The hallway I found the rays of light rather difficult and took me about five attempts because photoshop doesn't seem to allow you to do anything after you have applied a blur. So I had to find another way around it.

Very good! But when you say Photoshop doesn't allow you to do anything after you have applied a blur... what do you mean, exactly? I've always found Photoshop to be remarkably compliant.

Well after applying the blur to the rays the free transform would only select the whole image and after pressing Q to exit quick mask mode the selected area wasn't just the rays. Without the blur I entered free transform spread the rays and after pressing Q the rays were selected.

So for the centre of the light rays I went over it two or three times for the outer areas I only went over once so only soft light would shine though.

Its not the first time I have had trouble with blur. Most of the time it works fine but sometimes it refuses to let me do a certain something or other after I have used it. Last time it was the cloud filter. So I just run it backwards instead clouds then blur.

It maybe me missing something I don't know, very new to this, so far all I have done is work though the Photoshop PS6 book to learn how to use it in the first place then I found your book. As a traditional artist turning to digital for health reasons your book is a gift thank you.

Just finished! Taken a bit longer than the previous two but I am rather pleased with it. Looking forward to the next one.

Well done Emy from here too! I really like your 100% draw and fascinating contents.
Steve's book on 100% PS is a great inspiration I think.
Look forward your further contributions when you can.

Thank you so much, I have started the next one in the book and will post it as soon as I have finished. It's getting me used to the liquify filter I haven't liked so far, but I think this picture has just changed my mind.

My latest picture I have just finished, but is only small enough to post on here if I make it tiny. Then it posts really small so I will post the attic one when I have finished that one. Sorry.
