Sir Patrick Stewart's retirement plan
This image had been floating around my head for a number of years. I finally got round to putting stylus to canvas.

*It was made in Affinity Photo (Ssssshhh!)

Re: Sir Patrick Stewart's retirement plan
Unidentified Flying Joke .............

I am embarrassed to admit that this has gone straight over my head.

At a loss for anything better I keep thinking of how Star Trek or Picard could relate to sewing (or any pun like pronunciation I can think of) and failing miserably - unless it's his new "Enterprise", but that's seriously feeble.

Not being a Star Trek fan and knowing little, beyond the fact that Spock has pointy ears and the engineer is predictably 'Scotty,' I have no frame of reference.

The really terrible thing about failing to understand something humorous is that it's not funny!

If it's going to spoil the fun for others to explain here, then please PM me and put me out of my misery.

Re: Sir Patrick Stewart's retirement plan
When coming to a decision about any particular action as Captain of his starship Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) would issue his orders saying ‘Make it so’.

Now that lockdown is ending I must get out more

I think this thread could continue - what other catchphrases could be turned into shops?

Re: Sir Patrick Stewart's retirement plan
Not strictly a catchphrase, but when we first moved to Brussels we very nearly bought a flower shop for Ingrid. In the end, thankfully, we didn't. But, had it gone through, one of our front runners for a name was this .............

Too niche to create an image but I was in a cręperie in Rochester — the home of Charles Dickens — and thought the owners had missed a trick by not naming it Crępe Expectations.
