Unfortunately not, but fps seem to be quite random - mainly depending on whether a mod is about and whether they think it's funny. I've had 11 fps in total so I mustn't grumble. |

Excellent! And the Displace filter really did a great job there. I really am going to have to look at animated GIFs in some detail in the next edition. Perhaps I should be calling on you for advice! Lovely work |

What on earth are you two talking about? When it was PC stuff I felt I had a right not to understand, but all this woo, yay and houpla stuff (not to mention the odd panowie) is just bizarre. Are you anarchist insurgents using this forum as a base to pass secret codes for the purposes of overthrowing democracy as we know it? |

Maiden, Excellent work. What did you do with the displace filter? I'm not too familiar with it. Also, what is fps??? Raymardo - fps are Front Page images on the www.b3ta.com website, they are held in high regard that one of your images has managed to gain such popularity that b3ta will display it as a Front Page image showing the best of their board. The displace filter was created using a seperate layer above the flag cut-out layer filled with white (blending mode set to Darken so that you can see the flag underneath) and using the burn and dodge tools the folds effect was created. I then switched the layer back to Normal blending mode and made all the other layers invisible by clicking on their eye icons. I then saved this layer as a .psd file to use as a displacement file later. I then made all the layers visible again but made the displacement layer invisible. Using the flag layer I selected the Displace filter in the Distort filter set and applied a 5 by 5 pixel scale and selected the .psd file I'd just saved (which I called for the sake of remembering displacementfile.psd). I then made visible the displace layer above the flag and set it to Darken mode giving me the dodge and burn effect that completed the folds effect. Some of these setting may need tweaking here and there as the Displace filter is a bit hard to accurately judge. I hope that makes sense to you, good luck with experimenting with it. |
