First published image....
Wahay, this is my first (and rather unexpected) image to be published in a newspaper. It was a work in progress, to try to represent how a certain "blue-rinse" tourist town on the South-Coast is trying to move towards a more vibrant and youthful future and get away from the zimmer image! I sent it to a friend for a critique and it ended up in the local rag, in glorious technicolour. Before anyone mentions the vast amount of blue space etc. I did have intentions of filling it up with deckchairs and ice-cream cones scattered across the sands but it got published before I had a chance. I am well chuffed, and although I know its not the best image in the world, everyone must remember their first!! ![]() ![]() _________________ "There are only two things a child will share willingly; communicable diseases and its mother's age." Tabitha, that's a really fantastic image! And one you should be justly proud of. Congratulations on getting it published. You're right, you never forget your first image. Here's the first montage I had published - it was for an article on the Queen's Speech in Punch magazine, back in 1990. Anyone remember ImageStudio? Steve ![]() |
